Certified Orthotist acting as a Clinical and Technical expert in the field of neuro orthotics focusing on fabrication of custom orthoses, training of sales representatives and customer care team and leading customer education to ensure high quality outcomes for treated patients.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Custom Manufacturing
- Responsible for training and providing support to manufacturing team members for neuro orthotics.
- Provide design and technical support for custom orthoses produced in close co-operation with the FIOR & GENTZ team located in Germany.
- Assist that the clinical processes/designs are completed in a timely and cost-effective.
- Assist clinical CAD design and technical support for custom products and central fabrication.
- Conduct quality assurance on incoming orders and inspect outgoing orders for flaws and defects.
Clinical Education
- Assist in developing the curriculum for Neuro Orthotics external education including practitioner courses, on-line learning, national assemblies, regional and state meetings and in-facility training following guidance from FIOR & GENTZ, Germany.
- Maintains relationship with relevant O&P Certificate and Bachelor programs throughout the US by providing technical support through education and product introductions.
- Contribute on the development of training programs for internal staff in Americas.
- Delivers high-level demonstrations and lectures on neuro orthotic products in multiple settings.
Customer Support & Market Feedback
- Provide clinical and technical support to customer care and sales team via email, telephone, screen sharing, and other various media.
- Oversees technical inquiries, complaints, and clinical feedback from customers.
- Supports quality programs to reduce product returns.
- Attends educational and professional workshops, reviewing professional publications and participating in professional societies
- Collaborates with cross functional departments in Össur and FIOR & GENTZ organizations such as Clinical Education and Marketing team in Germany and Global Product Management.
- Assists the Neuro Orthotic team in Americas with the go-to market strategy.
- Perform other duties as requested.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- ABC and/or BOC credentials and eligible for state licensure in Florida
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in Orthotics
- Self-motivated and dependable with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well as a team member and internal key opinion leader
- Must be customer, quality and results-oriented
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks in an efficient manner
- Experience using CAD software systems.
- Proficiency in mainstream applications; Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to utilize current digital media networking and computer programs for the purpose of education & support.
- Superior problem-solving abilities.
GENERAL:
- All employees must be aware, have knowledge and shall have received general training in Quality requirements of Össur. Training takes place in the Onboarding process and in New Employee Orientation. More specific Quality training is job specific.
- All training related to the quality management system is done in accordance with the Training Management Process (QM1681).

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $90,343 - 115,860 + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
